About Me
- Maryann
- I am very passionate about creating beautiful jewellery and art works in different mediums. I'm constantly evolving both in my designs and in my creativity. Jewellery designing and creating gives me a wonderful sense of achievement and satisfaction. Gardening gives me a physical and energetic satisfaction which I thoroughly enjoy also. These two pursuits are performed in between all the other day to day tasks, but usually special time is set aside when I really want to devote special energy to the creative process.Saying all this,I really do only what just comes naturally!

Lotus flowers and Alpacas!
Last Saturday I had the pleasure and privilege of visiting the Blue Lotus Watergardens with my Garden Club.
It was my first visit and I was truly amazed by the sights that I beheld. So impressed was I that I have decided to plant a few lotus plants in our dam up at the Acreage to add a touch of beauty and idyllic magic!
Here are a few of my favourite lotus flowers that I saw up close and personal.
On our return journey we called in on an extensive gerber a farm which also happened to be the home of numerous alpacas. We were so fortunate to behold the antics of a darling three day old alpaca alongside its mother.Total bliss!

Red roses and resin
This month, in time for Valentine's Day, I thought it would be special to create a few pieces with love/romance and roses in mind. Going through my copious supplies, I managed to find just the components I needed to create these two different pieces of jewellery.
The pin brooch features a darling rose bud set for immortality in clear resin (heart shaped)and bought from the talented Carolyn at AutumnLeavesJewelery. This accessory is simple and pretty but packed full of interest and a delight to wear.
The second creation is a lovely necklace featuring red resin shapes in which I have added vintage German button glass beads which are speckled white and flat.An interesting piece that would look stunning when worn.
I hope you find these two new pieces exciting and lovely to look at too!

New for January.....
I've been busy creating various types of post earrings lately with many more styles to come.
Recently,I received gorgeous vintage cabochons in the post and these have added fuel to my creations! Most have surgical steel posts but I can easily change these for silver ones if required (as I did for a recent custom order).
Here are some of my little pretties.....

Restructuring the past.....
Lately, I've discovered a deep fascination with the idea of restructuring items from a past 'life' into some new creation, ready to wear and be admired once more!
Components from a very old necklace, some pretty baubles, some vintage finds and even a few 'new' discoveries have resulted in this necklace and earring set.
I love the result! What do you think?
