Market time!

Last weekend, Trev sand I had the pleasure of attending our first Emerald Festival where busy streets were closed to traffic and lined with varied craft, food and entertainment stalls and stages.

The weather was perfect after a very coolish start and the crowds thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Here are a few snaps I took of our combined stall before the market actually got under way.

Handturned bowls and burls.

Necklaces come in all styles!

Beautiful burls from Australian timber.

Red mallee wall clock

Many thanks to all who stopped by, shared a chat or bought some homemade goodness.

A garden stroll.....Part 1

I recently enjoyed a fabulous bus trip to Alowyn Gardens in the Yarra Valley here in Victoria. Our Garden Club has arranged wonderful bus trips in the past and this latest one was no exception.

Part 1 of this blog shows some of the floral highlights I encountered on my leisurely garden stroll. It was a glorious sunny Autumn day and the gardens were a real showcase of Nature's beauty.

Dahlia, Bishop of Llandoff

As I strolled through these gardens, it was a delight to see and hear so many valuable honey bees all busily doing what bees do best!
